Visiting Author Series – Pete Hautman

Pete HautmanThe public is invited to the Rochester Public Library Auditorium on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. to meet author Pete Hautman as he presents his book Blank Confession, which won the 2011 Minnesota Book Award for Young People’s Literature.

Hautman published his first novel, Drawing Dead in 1993 and has published over twenty more since then. He has won many awards for his young adult novels including the L.A. Times Book Prize for The Big Crunch, Michigan “Thumbs Up” Award for Mr. Was, and Rash, and the Arizona Young Adult Award for Hole in the Sky. Three of his novels were Minnesota Book Award winners: Blank Confession, Sweetblood,  and Godless, which also won the 2004 National Book Award.

Currently, Hautman lives in Golden Valley, Minnesota and Stockholm, Wisconsin with novelist and poet Mary Logue. For more information, visit his website:
